Chicago’s summer attraction Spring Awakening Music Festival (SAMF) 2019 recently announced six headliners and its new confirmed location.
SAMF is the Midwest’s largest all-electronic music festival and for its eighth year, it will take place on June 7-9 at Popular Creek at 59-90 Entertainment District in Hoffman Estate, a Northwest Chicago suburb.
This years lineup includes Grammy-nominated hit-maker, DJ Snake; Grammy-award winning producer/DJ/songwriter, Zedd; DJ Mag’s three-time number one Top 100 list DJ, Martin Garrix; Juno-Award winning Canadian DJ/producer, REZZ; funk/electro-soul/future-funk DJ/producer/sax master GRiZ; and melodic bass producer, DJ ILLENIUM.
For 2019 in Popular Creek, more than 90 artists will perform across five different stages with a variety of genres within the electronic music spectrum. SAMF will also feature stunning stage production, interactive art installations, carnival rides, and more.
The new location has 27 acres of land, which is nearly double than last year’s site. This will allow for bigger and more impressive stages, production, and experiential environments. Shuttles from nearby Metra stations to the festival grounds will again be provided. The grounds are also less than ten minutes from multiple hotel options. Also, for the first time in SAMF history, the new location will allow for festival parking on site.
The full lineup will be revealed on Friday, March 15.
